Dude, where's my car?

  • If you are using the trails, please park at the trail head.
  • If you are using the dock, please park in the visitor parking area. Follow the road past the farm house, and bear right past the first cottage.

What's up, dock?

  • To get to the dock, take the path on the left side of the Marine Lab. It is a short walk from there through the trees to the stairs/ramp that lead to the pier.
  • Please note that this is a working dock. Boats arrive and depart regularly. Keep cleats clear for boats to tie up.
  • The sailing team stores their boats on the right side of the pier. You may walk down the dock but please do not touch the boats.
  • Do not jump off of the pier. Follow the ramps down to the floating docks on either side. Jumping from the pier is dangerous as there are rocks and other objects in the water that cannot be seen. This is a tidal area, and the water level varies drastically
  • You may fish off the dock, but please be aware of your surroundings

Be prepared!

  • Be prepared for the elements! We encourage you to bring sunscreen, bug spray, water, and an extra layer in case of changing weather conditions.
  • You may bring food, snacks, and beverages.
  • Schiller is a carry-in, carry-out campus. There are no public garbage cans, so please be prepared with a trash bag to transport any waste.
